Background:

Dr. Vadas received his PhD in 2001 in Environmental Soil Science from the University of Delaware and was a research scientist with the USDA-ARS in Beltsville, MD, University Park, PA, and Madison, WI. His research focused on nutrient management in animal production systems and development of field to watershed scale models for nutrient fate and transport. In 2019, he joined the ARS Office of National Programs in Beltsville where he helps lead research programs for Soil and Air and Pasture, Range, and Forage Agroecosystems.
